Wisconsin Real Estate MBA Students Receive Honorable Mention in National Real Estate Challenge
On November 17, a team of four first- and second-year Real Estate MBA students from the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate received an honorable mention in the 2009 National Real Estate Challenge, hosted by the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. This year’s case study dealt with a high-profile Las Vegas casino project. The Wisconsin Team, comprised of Chris Hooker (MBA '11), Chris Jillings (MBA '10), Jim Lindsey (MBA '11), and Tanner Mueller (MBA '10), formed "Campus Equities" to analyze a complex real estate development deal. Professor François Ortalo-Magné and MBA Students Attend MIPIM Asia
François Ortalo-Magné, Robert E. Wangard Chair in Real Estate, recently led a group of three Wisconsin Real Estate MBA students to MIPIM Asia held in Hong Kong, one of the largest real estate conferences in Asia. With over 1500 participants, the event provided a valuable opportunity for students to hear directly from leading decision makers in global real estate and to expand their international network.
