Application Checklist
In order for an application to be complete all of the following must be submitted:
1. Online application
2. Essays
3. Two recommendation forms
4. Employer authorization form
5. Original transcripts from all institutions of higher learning (not just the institution from which the applicant received a degree)
6. Current resume
7. $56.00 application fee
Recommendations
Applications should be supported by two online recommendations. These recommendations could be requested from:
1. A senior level person in your organization
2. Your immediate supervisor, past or present
3. A client or coworker
The online application will request that the applicant submit the names and email addresses of their recommenders. The system will contact the recommenders via email and request they submit their recommendation form electronically.
Employer Authorization
An appropriate member of your organization must demonstrate willingness to authorize your participation in the program by submitting the online authorization form (similar to the recommendations). Authorization implies that:
The employer agrees that the participant will be free to attend the scheduled classes and live-in sessions, and an agreement on the level of financial support has been reached between the employer and the employee.
The applicant will be asked to submit the name and email address of the member in their organization who is authorized to give the applicant permission to miss work to attend class and is authorized to agree on the level of financial support the organization will provide.
Interviews
Interviews are by invitation. Selected applicants will be contacted to set up an interview after their complete application has been reviewed.
Cost
Tuition for the 2012-2013 academic year is approximately $39,000. The tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year will be set in the summer of 2013. It will change at the graduate business rate approved by the legislature and the Regents, or 5%, whichever is less.
Projected cost for the second year of program is $41,000 based on the 5% cap, for a total projected program cost of $79,900. Tuition is not assessed on a per credit or per class basis. A yearly program fee is set each academic year and the tuition for the year is billed at 1/2 the program fee in the fall and 1/2 in the spring. Upon acceptance into the program, a $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a place in class.
