The Wisconsin Community - Your Greatest Career Resource

Our small and tight-knit community fosters a supportive atmosphere that encourages and facilitates collaborative job-search efforts. From current students and alumni to faculty members and staff, everyone is involved – directly or indirectly – in the career management process. For example, we strongly encourage our current students to participate in social networking sites and communicate openly with their peers about their career planning interests.  This effective communication gives others the opportunity to respond directly by sharing their contacts in that particular area. The Career Management Team also monitors an updated database of all Wisconsin Evening and Executive MBA students and their current place of employment to be shared within the community for networking purposes.

Julie LussierDeveloping Your Career
“The opportunity to participate in career workshops and networking events has been tremendously helpful. I have made connections both personally and professionally with my cohorts, other Evening MBA students, Executive MBA professionals, department faculty, and alumni. Taking advantage of these resources has prepared me to confidently walk into a room of strangers, introduce myself, learn about others, and discuss opportunities for building connections. Career services has helped me develop my ‘brand’ and the skills I need to be a master networker and successful leader."
