Mike Knetter, CEO, UW Foundation (former Dean of the Business
School)
Bio:
Michael M. Knetter has been Chief Executive Officer and
President of University Of Wisconsin Foundation since October
2010. Dr. Knetter served as a Dean of the University of
Wisconsin-Madison School of Business since July 2002.
Dr. Knetter serves as a Research Associate of the National
Bureau of Economic Research. He serves as Consultant to the
International Monetary Fund. He served as an Associate Dean of
the MBA program and Professor of International Economics in the
Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College from June 1997
to July 2002. He served as a Senior Staff Economist for the
President Council of Economic Advisors for former President
George H.W. Bush and William Jefferson Clinton. Dr. Knetter has
been Independent Director of Wausau Paper Corp. (Formerly,
Wausau Mosinee Paper Corp.) since 2005. He serves as a Director
of American Family Mutual Insurance Co., Inc. He serves as a
Trustee or Director of various Neuberger funds in the fund
complex. He has been a Trustee of Northwestern Mutual Series
Fund, Inc. since February 2007. He serves as an Independent
Director of Northwestern Mutual Series Fund, Inc. - Small Cap
Growth Stock Portfolio.
Knetter completed his Undergraduate Studies in Economics and
Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and his
Ph.D. in Economics at Stanford University.
